Prairie Independent Living Resource Center (PILR) is seeking a qualified individual to work full-time as an Independent Living Counselor. This person provides independent living counseling services for individuals with disabilities eligible for the Medicaid Home and Community Based Services, physical disability waiver program. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, be proficient with computers, able to travel within Reno and surrounding counties to individual’s homes, and a willingness to advocate for the civil rights of people with disabilities. Applicants must have at least 1 year experience working with people with disabilities. A college degree in a human service field is preferred. This is a salaried position with excellent benefits.
