This is intended as a place for survivors of sexual and/or domestic violence to be able to creatively find a voice.

Much of the poetry included is a result of a compilation of poems from the Hutchinson Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Center Poetry Slams that have taken place throughout the past several years.

If you would like to submit a poem, an essay, a short story or a commentary piece, please send electronically to Chris Owens, Executive Director of PILR at cowens@pilr.org.

If you are currently experiencing violence in your life and would like to seek help or just find someone who will listen, in addition to PILR, the following sexual assault and domestic violence programs throughout the state can provide that support:

Consumers residing in Reno, McPherson, Rice, Kingman or Harper Counties can call the Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Center in Hutchinson at 800-701-3630 or 620-663-2522.

Consumers residing in Harvey County can contact the Harvey County DV/SA Task Force in Newton at 800-487-0510 or 316-283-0350.

Consumers residing Stafford, Pratt, and Barber Counties can call the Family Crisis Center in Great Bend at 866-792-1885 or 620-792-1885.
